US Logist ("we," "our," or "us") operates the US Logist mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

When you register or use the App, we may collect the following personal information:

  • Full name
  • Phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Truck type, dimensions, and payload capacity
  • Login credentials (username and password)

2.2 Location Data

We collect precise geolocation data (latitude and longitude) from your device when:

  • Your work status is set to "Available" (active)
  • You have an active trip/load in progress

Location data is transmitted to our servers every 5 minutes while the above conditions are met. This data is used for dispatch coordination, trip tracking, and fleet management.

2.3 Photos and Documents

We collect photos you upload through the App, including:

  • Bill of Lading (BOL) photos
  • Proof of Delivery (POD) photos
  • Cargo loading and unloading photos

2.4 Communication Data

We collect messages exchanged through the in-app chat system between you and dispatch, tracking department, and accounting department.

2.5 Financial Data

We collect and store information related to your earnings, including trip payments, bonuses, penalties, and Quick Pay transactions.

2.6 Technical Data

We automatically collect device information including device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Account Management: To create and manage your driver account, authenticate your identity, and provide access to the App.
  • Trip Management: To facilitate the assignment, tracking, and completion of freight trips, including route visualization and status updates.
  • Location Services: To share your location with dispatch for coordination purposes, enable real-time trip tracking, and provide accurate distance calculations.
  • Communication: To enable real-time messaging between you and company departments (dispatch, tracking, accounting).
  • Payments: To calculate trip earnings, process Quick Pay requests, and maintain transaction records.
  • Document Management: To store and manage BOL, POD, and cargo photographs as required by freight operations.
  • Push Notifications: To send you important alerts about new load offers, trip updates, messages, and payment notifications.
  • App Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our services, fix bugs, and enhance user experience.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Dispatch and Company Personnel: Your location, trip status, and uploaded documents are shared with authorized dispatch, tracking, and accounting personnel as necessary for freight operations.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with third-party service providers that assist us in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, push notification services, map services).
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your information:

  • All API communications are secured with HTTPS/SSL encryption.
  • Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, the most secure storage mechanism available on iOS devices.
  • JWT tokens are additionally encrypted with a custom encryption layer.
  • Automatic token refresh prevents unauthorized access from expired credentials.

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Trip data, photos, and transaction records may be retained for the duration required by applicable laws and regulations. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You can view your profile information and trip history within the App.
  • Correction: You can update your profile information through the App settings.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data. Visit our account deletion page for instructions.
  • Location Opt-Out: You can disable location sharing by turning off your work status. However, location data is required for active trips.
  • Push Notifications: You can manage push notification preferences in the App settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.
